Polarization transforming properties of Dove prisms

We analyze the polarization changes introduced by a rotated Dove prism on the linearly polarized light, using the Jones calculus and the exact ray trace analysis. The state of polarization changes from the linear to a mildly elliptical one when a plane wave front passes through a rotated Dove prism: its semi-major axis is nearly parallel to the input plane of polarization, for any angle of prism rotation. The interferogram contrast remains high for all shearing angles in spite of polarization changes when the Dove prism is incorporated into a rotational shearing interferometer. These results are confirmed experimentally.

本文推广了经典的复合泊松风险模型，建立了两类复合广义齐次poisson过程的多险种破产模型．对于新模型，我们得到了初始资本为u的破产概率φ(u)的精确表达式以及特殊情况下φ(0)的表达式，并且导出了调节系数方程和调节系数R的上下界．     

聚丙烯酸长链酯的Huggins常数与其分子量的依赖性关系

聚丙烯酸高碳醇酯(PBA)及聚丙烯酸十八醇酯(POA)是具有长烷基侧链的梳状聚合物,在溶剂苯中的Huggins常数(k′)随其分子量(M)的变化而变化.在PBA-苯体系中发现,当M低于某一临界分子量(MLC)时,k′随分子量的降低显著增大;当M大于某临界分子量(MHC)时,k′随分子量的升高而增大;当M在MLC～MHC时,k′基本上保持不变.而在POA-苯体系中发现,当M低于某一临界分子量(MC)时,k′随分子量的降低显著增大;当M大于该临界分子量(MC)时,k′在0.33～0.43变化.文中同时给出了精确算法用来计算PBA-苯体系及POA-苯体系中PBA及POA的特性粘度.当k′＞0.758时,用稀释外推法计算;当0.758＞k′＞0.426时,用一点法公式[η]=ηsp/C(√)ηr计算;当0.426＞k′＞0.334时,用另一一点法公式[η]=(√)2(ηsp-lnηr)/C计算.     

Anomalies in the Absorption and Reflection of a High-Power Ultrashort Laser Pulse by a Plasma with a Solid-State Density

The patterns of absorption and reflection of an ultrashort laser pulse by a plasma with a solid-state density, which are realized in the mode of the normal skin effect, are studied. It is shown that a decrease in low-power pulse duration shorter than the period corresponding to the fundamental frequency of radiation leads to an increase in the absorption coefficient. If the pulse power is so high as to provide electron heating during a time shorter than the reciprocal fundamental frequency, nonlinear suppression of absorption takes place and the spectrum of the reflected radiation contains odd harmonics of the fundamental frequency.     

辽河冷家油田特稠油降粘剂LJVR-1及其性能评价

采用荧光法测定了辽河冷家油田冷47-556井特稠油乳化HLB值,然后以混合型表面活性剂、非离子型表面活性剂为主剂,快速渗透剂为辅剂按一定比例制备了水基降粘剂LJVR-1.实验结果表明,该降粘剂具有良好的乳化降粘性能,开采后易于破乳脱水,是一种较为理想的特稠油降粘剂.     

毛细管放电X光激光中的预脉冲研究

 为研究毛细管放电X光激光中预脉冲放电对增益的影响，用简化的XDCH程序，模拟计算了聚乙烯毛细管充Ar气、2μs脉宽的预脉冲放电过程，把预放电之后的等离子体温度、密度和电离度作为初始条件，输入XDCH程序，进行40kA典型主脉冲放电的计算模拟，给出了一些典型预放电幅度下的增益和电子密度分布情况。比较分析的结果发现，对2μs脉宽的预脉冲，100A的电流将得到较好的增益，并且预言激光线时间谱可能出现双峰结构，空间谱会出现环状结构。     

Making Use of Incomplete Observations for Regression in Bivariate Normal Model

Two estimates of the regression coefficient in bivariate normal distribution are considered: the usual one based on a sample and a new one making use of additional observations of one of the variables. They are compared with respect to variance. The same is done for two regression lines. The conclusion is that the additional observations are worth using only when the sample is very small.     

Optical and conductive properties of AlSi-alloy/SiCp composites: application in modelling CO2 laser processing of composites

The optical properties—reflectivity, real part of the refractive index, absorption coefficient as well as the thermal and electrical conductivity of AlSi-alloy/SiC_p composite were measured. The optical parameters and both conductivities decreased with the increase of SiC_p particles volume in AlSi-alloy matrix. This decrease was almost linear for the volume fraction of SiC_p particle up to 10 vol% of the total mass of the composite. For the 15 vol% of SiC_p particles, the departure from linearity is connected with the presence of additional phases in AlSi-alloy/SiC_p composite materials. The measured temperature dependencies of optical reflectivity and electrical conductivity for AlSi-alloy/SiC_p 15 vol% are of metallic character. Modelling of the interaction of the CO₂ laser radiation with AlSi-alloy/SiC_p 15 vol% composite should allow to estimate the initiation time at which the surface composite reaches melting temperature.     

Ground state parameters of BiH3 from infrared and millimeter-wave spectra: ground state and equilibrium structures

Unstable, short-lived BiH₃ has been synthesized and investigated by rotational spectroscopy in the range 158 (J=1-0) to 1280 GHz (J=8-7). Quadrupole and spin-rotation hyperfine structures (eQq=584.676(96) MHz), and the A₁A₂ splitting of the K=3 ground state level, have been resolved. By merging the pure rotational data with 1764 ground state combination differences obtained from the analysis of high resolution Fourier transform infrared spectra of the ν₁-ν₄ bands [J. Mol. Spectrosc. (2004) (in press)] spanning J and K values up to 16 and 14, respectively, with 0?ΔK?9, the ground state rotational and centrifugal distortion constants up to octic and sextic terms for reductions A and B, respectively, have been determined. Of the reductions of the ground state rovibrational Hamiltonian, reduction B including ε rather than h₃ as off-diagonal element is clearly favored. An experimental r₀ structure of the very-near spherical oblate symmetric top BiH₃, r(BiH)=178.82 pm and α(HBiH)=90.320°, has been deduced from the rotational constants B₀=2.64160172(18) and C₀=2.6010403(31) cm⁻¹. The derived experimental r_e structure, r_e(BiH)=177.834(50) pm and α_e(HBiH)=90.321(10)°, was determined. This is in excellent agreement with the most recent ab initio structure, r_e(BiH)=177.84 pm, and α_e(HBiH)=90.12°.
